Fantastic Service and a Fantastic Product Review by
Quality
usability
Value
First of all, I would like to say that bargain biker brands is a pleasure to deal with. From the start the communication was second to non and was followed by the dispatch/delivery which was lightning fast!

Now for the product...
After running the Scala G9x for about 2 weeks now, I have had time to test it out on a daily commute and also a 4 hour plus ride in 3 way full duplex mode. The results are fantastic once you get to grips with setting it up.

Sound quality and volume:
The sound is clear and the feature that increases the volume of the headset as you ride (RDS) is incredible and allows you to hear every rider as the wind noise increases. But you do have to make sure you set the volume right, as the volume can distort at the highest RDS level if the headset is on max volume - This can be resolved by turning it down by one notch.

Pairing with other riders:
I have to admit that when you are paring with just one other rider then it seems to be effortless. Maybe it's just me, but I find getting 3 units to pair is a little more tricky, but is becoming easier the longer I have the units. One of the 3 riders needs to act as an exchange for the other 2 riders. So that rider cannot connect his phone and 2 other riders. It did say this in the manual but this will save you a lot of wasted time - as I found out the hard way. When everyone is paired it is as good as it sounds, just like having the other riders in the same room!

FM Radio and Voice Control
I found the FM radio a real bonus when commuting, which I have at a low volume so its not a distraction and is useful to hear any traffic issues along the way.
The voice control works in harmony with the FM radio, allowing you to change the station by simple saying "Next Station" or "Previous Station" and the hands free voice commands generally work well but you need to make sure you wait for the beep to finish before stating your command. So I have learned that if you make a beep noise yourself to initiate the voice control and then say your actual command it works really well, but you will find your own method I'm sure.

Battery
When I had the unit arrive I placed it on charge and within 2 hours the light had gone off indicating that it was full. So I went out on the bike for an hour and it went flat. Don't worry, I placed it back on charge and it went off again after 2 hours, so I immediately placed it back on charge and continued the charge overnight. It seemed it was just a step in the battery which needed to be overcome. I have tested the unit on a 6-7 hour round trip and only died when i got home - so it works perfectly and the life of the battery now matches the statistics/spec.

Build Quality
Brilliant. The unit is solid and the bracket does not move at all on the helmet.

Conclusion
This unit is packed with features for the money and I have only reviewed the parts that I have had time to use. There are things that can be improved like the iPhone App and probably larger buttons on the headset but this is me being picky. If you have not been used to biking with comms before then you will find it enhances your ride all round, so what you waiting for :)

Happy Riding!
